Born on 17th July 1983. He grew up up in a small village in Luxembourg. Right from his childhood, he has been very interested in music and everything connected to it („I have had the great chance to grow up in a house where music was omnipresent"). His first instrument, however, was the Saxophone, which he studied for 10 years. About four years into this, he started playing the drums. In Luxembourg, he studied at the Conservatory of Ettelbruck. Workshops in Belgium made him discover his love for Jazz. Soon after that, he was accepted at the Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music. Between 2007 and 2009 he studied at the „Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Mannheim". After his graduation in Mannheim, he moved to New York City, where he had lessons with Bill Stewart, Ari Hoenig, Nasheet Waits, John Riley (a.o.). In September 2011, Paul and his Collective published their first album „Submerging & Emerging" with the german Label JAZZ'n'ARTs and have since been touring throughout Europe (Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Germany,...) and Japan. He has now returned to Luxembourg, where he teaches young people music theory and percussion. He is one of the most sought-after drummers in the young Benelux Jazz scene.
